Valerie Goonewarden (Nee Bridgette) 1963 - 2013

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of an old member of the IKK.

Valerie Goonewarden (Nee Bridgette) passed away on the 22nd September 2013 aged 50 after a long battle with cancer. Val trained with the IKK for many years and had graded to green belt. Val was also a member of the successful IKK womens Clicker team that came first in the 1988 European Championships in Stuttgart, Germany.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time. Her extended Kyokushin family will miss her and her great fighting spirit.
