In
an effort to give our clicker fighters some extra experience both
Sensei Ken Fitzpatrick of Mullingar and Sensei Stephen Quaille of
Killester decided to orgainise a clicker tournament between
Mullingar dojo and the Killester and Finglas dojos (collectively
representing Dublin). Sensei Shane Lalor was on hand as referee
for the day. The tournament itself was held in Mullingar. It was
a team event with three members per team. It was also divided
into age categories as normal (i.e Under 10, Under 13, Under 16
and Senior).
Each group fielded a couple of teams in each section and points
were awarded for a win in the first round. This was to be tallied
later for the overall team winner and each age category also had
individual team winners. In the overall competition it really
came down to the wire once the points were added up. Both teams
were level and the coaches decided on a winner take all fight off
which was deservedly won by Mullingar.
