Squad Session - Galway - 18/01/2015

The first knockdown squad session of the year took place on a cold Sunday afternoon in Galway. Fighters from Finglas, Galway, Mullingar and Killester made the journey and we had Cadets, Novices and experienced fighters in the Knockdown as well as the Junior Clicker squads. While numbers were not huge everyone got stuck in and there was a good spirit in the dojo. As it was the first session back we started easy with some punching drills and some combinations getting everyone moving again. When everyone was nice and warm we got stuck in to some light sparring including Sensei Ken, Senpai Nigel and myself. It was good to give everyone some mat time, everyone getting at least 10 fights. We finished up with some matched fights and a critique afterwards with Sensei Ken showing his experience.
