The IKK sent another big team to the BKK regional in 2014.
Mens Novice Heavyweights:Piotr Korpal went two rounds and though he fought well he lost on decision. David Pommer also went two rounds before losing on weight. Richard Dunne also went one round before losing on decision.
Mens Open Heavyweights: Patrick English went one round but lost on decision. Alan McCoy also lost on decision after one round. Both fighters fought well especially since it was quite a while since either had last fought. David King beat his first round opponent by Ippon with Shita-Tsuki during Sai Shai. In the Semi final Dave gained a decision on weight before losing the final by Ippon.
Mens Open Lightweights: Ben Kelly won his semi final by decision before losing by Ippon in the final to the current British Champion.
Mens Novice Lightweights: Senan MacAodh won the Novice lightweighst having blitzed his opponent with aggression and power gaining the judges decision in the first round of the final.
All in all a good day and a few more trophies for the collection.
